Amare Happy Juice: What's in It and How to Make It

“Happy Juice” isn't a single product. It's the name Amare customers gave to a drink made by mixing a few Amare products together in one bottle of water. It became popular on social media, and Amare now sells the products together as the Happy Juice Pack.

What goes into Happy Juice

The classic recipe combines up to three products. Bundles on amare.com change over time, so check the product page for exactly what's in the pack you're buying.

  • MentaBiotics®: the gut-health base. It combines probiotics (Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium strains), prebiotic fibers and plant extracts, plus digestive ingredients such as L-glutamine, ginger and artichoke leaf.
  • Amare EDGE™: Amare's plant-based “nootropic” drink for motivation, made with mango leaf, lychee fruit and palm fruit extracts. The original EDGE is labeled caffeine-free and sugar-free. EDGE+ adds lion's mane and citicoline, and the newest flavors add Nutricog®.
  • Energy+™ (optional): a drink mix for energy. The Pomegranate Lime flavor contains matcha, guayusa and natural caffeine. The Dragon Fruit flavor is caffeine-free.

How to make it

  • Fill a bottle with 16–20 oz (about 500–600 ml) of cold water.
  • Add one serving of MentaBiotics and one of EDGE. Add one stick of Energy+ if you're using it.
  • Close the bottle and shake well. Drink it in the morning or early afternoon.

Energy+ can also be mixed on its own in 8–16 oz of water, hot or cold, according to Amare's product sheet.

How much caffeine is in Happy Juice?

It depends on which versions you use. The original EDGE and Energy+ Dragon Fruit are both caffeine-free. Energy+ Pomegranate Lime contains natural caffeine. Formulas change over time, so check the label of the flavor you buy. Energy+ Pomegranate Lime is reported to have about 55 mg per stick, roughly half a cup of coffee. If you're sensitive to caffeine or drink it later in the day, choose the caffeine-free versions.

Things worth knowing before you buy

  • Most Amare formulas are proprietary blends, so the label lists ingredients but not the exact amount of each one.
  • Happy Juice is a supplement, not a replacement for food, sleep or exercise.
  • If you're pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or managing a health condition, ask your doctor before trying it.
